Jacob and I were invited to assist with worship at the Chalkyitsik revival with Hannah in May, 2006. It was my first trip out for the purpose of revival to one of our rural communities. We were surprised to be greeted by Charlie and June, friends from the Valley when we lived there.
What I learned during this revival was how selfless people are when spreading the Word and the love of God. They are truly doing what God has commanded them to do, to preach the Gospel to all men. Our pilot, Danny Davidson, was the only pilot available for the whole revival. He worked non-stop the whole weekend, picking up and dropping people off at Chalkyitsik and then taking them back home. He was late for dinner every night and always had a smile on his face! He was a wonderful traveling companion and when we flew back to Anchorage, his wife prepared a delicious dinner for us!
I believe that the work of the CPA is more important than most people know. God commands us to go to the ends of the earth to spread His Word and the CPA is helping to touch lives in the most remote areas of our state. The state of Alaska’s statistics regarding suicide, substance abuse, FASD and child abuse and neglect are high compared to the national averages are largely due to the high percentages within the native Alaskan population in urban and rural sites. There are many hurting people out there that need healing and the Word of God and the CPA is helping to make it happen.

This last year has been a very busy time for Leonard John Ministries. On the Koyukuk River trip we were able to fly with Christian Pilots Association/Danny Davidson Pilot. We traveled to Alakakut. When we left Fairbanks the temperature dipped down very cold and by the time we arrived in Alakakut the temperature got very cold. We preached every night at a small church. During that time a family came to church, the father rededicated his heart to the Lord and his daughter followed him and gave her heart to the Lord. This family is still serving the Lord.I felt this trip was very successful because a whole family turned their lives around because of this outreach.
Our plan was go travel to Hughes, Alaska and then Huslia, Alaska. Hughes lost their power plant so we had to cancel those meetings, and Huslia was clouded over and we weren’t able to land in Huslia. The Koyukuk River outreach was successful even though we only visited one village. Word got out about our meetings and the family that turned their lives around.
We were blessed to have the ministry of Christian Pilots, without this type of ministry we would never have been able to make it into these remote villages. Because of Christian Pilots vision we reached a family with the gospel that changed their life. This change had an impact on the Koyuk, River villages.
On behalf of Leonard John Ministries, we thank you for your vision.
God Bless your efforts and we look forward to working with you in the future to reach the great state of Alaska.

Wanted to thank Dan Davidson and Tom Baird and the Nome team for giving us encouragement and helping us to get the gospel out to the villages because of you we have been to: Barrow, Nome, Point Hope, Kotzebue, the Yukon, Chalkyitsik and many more.
Thank You for your donations and food brought to barrow and other villages as we meet those in need. You go the extra step to bring nutrition to them.
Seeing many lives changed because of your obedience. I was so blessed to fly to the villages and enjoy knowing that we had Christian pilots flying us to the outer most places to see the gospel reached and knowing that we have many more trips to go. My life and my children were touched by CPA'S giving hearts to make things happens when it seemed impossible. Your faithfulness and obedience and trust in him. When the road is tough God made a way.
I flew into one village to see so much healing take place and encouragement brought to the people of God there, baptisms and new believers who I will cherish in my heart forever. I am looking forward to flying again soon and see God's people continue to be renewed and refreshed and we fly in the new words of encouragement and advance in His kingdom for his glory. Great Job CPA! Keep up the good work!
With the most deepest gratitude,

“I’ve been privileged to fly all across Alaska and preach the Gospel to many because of the wonderful ministry of Christian Pilots Association, (CPA). Many villages are extremely challenging to get to because of being so remote and because of the high price of commercial travel. But what really stands out more than anything else is the pilots of CPA. I’ve found them to be people of incredible Christian character and willing to personally sacrifice for the sake of bringing the “Good News” to the ends of Alaska. They not only ‘fly’ us to these remote villages, but they often stay and help with the ministry in many selfless ways. I thank God for CPA!!”
